The Electrify 2515 Community Pilot
The Electrify 2515 Community Pilot is a groundbreaking research project to empower 500 householders to switch to electric appliances. By electrifying a community together, we will provide critical insights to guide Australia's transition to a smart electric future. We’d love you to join us.
The Pilot will be delivered in partnership between Rewiring Australia, Brighte, and Endeavour Energy, with funding from Australian Renewable Energy Agency.
The application process
How it will work:
By filling in this application, you are applying to participate in the Electrify 2515 Community Pilot. As a participant you will be able to access subsidies to reduce the cost of electrifying your appliances and you will take part in the research.
This is not a first come, first served process. The Pilot team will assess all applications and notify you of the outcome as soon as possible. Selection will be based on a range of criteria, including household and property type, the specific appliances needing replacement and the research requirements. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee everyone a place.
The Pilot installations will take place over two stages:
Unsuccessful applications from the Initial stage will automatically roll over to be considered for the Main Rollout stage.
What you need to apply:
To complete your application, please ensure that you have:
a. Read and confirmed that you meet the Eligibility Criteria in the Participant Guidelines on our website.
b. 15-30 minutes to complete the application form (the form autosaves in your browser if you have to leave it and come back).
c. An idea of what gas appliances you want to replace in your home.
d. Your latest electricity and gas bills, and a photograph of your switchboard - like the one below.
Please only submit ONE application per household.
How this application will be used:
The information provided in this application will be used to:
- Assess your eligibility to participate in the Pilot;
- Facilitate a streamlined process for selected participants;
- Contribute to the research outcomes of the Electrify 2515 Community Pilot.
Please note that your details and responses will be shared with Pilot partners Brighte and Endeavour Energy, solely for the purposes of the Electrify 2515 Community Pilot.
